Rabbit Essentials Pantry (REP!)

House Rabbit Society has started a new, monthly Rabbit Essentials Pantry (REP) to help keep rabbits with their families and help alleviate the strain caused by the rising costs of living. The Pantry is first come first serve until supplies run out. The Pantry will be held every 1st Sunday of every month from 12pm to 3pm at the House Rabbit Society Rabbit Center located at 148 Broadway in Richmond. Our next Pantry will be held Sunday, December 4th. Have you found a rabbit on the street and need help with rabbit care supplies? Stop by for the Pantry to grab the essentials as well as advice on rehoming.

Holiday Supply Drive

Our first ever Holiday Supply Drive will be held Sunday, Decemeber 11th. We will be collecting all sorts of Rabbit Care Supplies to help families keep rabbits with their families.

There are three easy ways to help!

• Buy an e-gift card from Amazon, Chewy, Petfood Express or any local pet suppy store and email it to [email protected]. We can then buy the needed food, litter and hay.
• Buy an item (or two!) from our Amazon wish list or Chewy wish list and it’ll be delivered directly to us.
• Drop off pet food donations on site at our Donation Table on Sunday the 11th. We especially need food and litter pellets. You can also drop off gift cards (we love Pet Food Express and Petco!).

Our mailing address is:

House Rabbit Society
148 Broadway
Richmond, CA 94804

Thank you for helping us keep beloved pets with their families this holiday season and all year round!

Holiday Break Closure

The Rabbit Center will be closed for shop orders and onsite volunteering Sunday the 25th through Friday the 6th. We will reopen for volunteering and shopping on Saturday January 7th.

Bunny boarding will continue its normal hours 7 days a week from 10am to 4:30pm.

Rabbit Center Updates

Welcome! Our facility is soon to reopen for in-store shopping on Saturdays and Sundays. We are taking safety precautions due to both COVID-19 and Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus Type-2 (RHDV2) to protect our rabbits, staff, and volunteers.

Boarding is now open. Spaces are limited and new protocols are in place. Visit our boarding page for more details.

While we are closed for walk-in adoptions, it’s still possible to adopt a rabbit at this time. We are currently facilitating adoptions by appointment only. Learn more about our adoption process.

Hop Shop curbside pickup orders are available Thursday – Sunday, from 11 am to 4:30 pm. Shop now: rabbit.org/shop
